Introduction

The wear tester is used to conduct wear tests according to specifications such as ASTM D4966, JIS L10096, ISO 17704, and others at a specified cycle rate of 47.5 ± 2.5 cycles per minute (CPM).

This equipment is used for conducting wear tests on woven and knitted fabrics, non-woven/ethylene materials, leather, belts, gloves, socks, laminated boards, painted surfaces, and a wide range of other materials. The tester has a counter for automatic cycle counting and stopping, and it operates on 120 volts.

Scope of Application

It can detect the wear resistance and pilling performance of various fabrics. Under a certain pressure, the sample and the specified abrasive material perform continuous alternating friction. The wear and pilling degree are evaluated by comparing with standard parameters. The touchscreen controls are equipped with a fully functional programmer, which can pre-program batches and total counts, and separately set the count for each test head; four speeds including the standard speed can be selected.
