Introduction
The geosynthetics thickness measuring instrument is used to
determine the thickness of various geosynthetics under specified
pressure and time. The sample is placed on the reference plate, and
a circular pressure foot parallel to the reference plate is used to
apply the specified pressure to the sample for a certain period of
time. Then, the vertical distance between the two plates is
measured. The thickness of the sample is expressed as the average
value of the test results.
The detection of geotextiles generally includes weight measurement
(used in conjunction with an electronic balance and a sampler),
thickness measurement, density measurement, hardness measurement,
determination of static water pressure resistance and permeability
coefficient, as well as detection of the airtightness of geotextile
seams.
