1. Imaging speed
1.1 Film imaging requires a certain accumulation of exposure time to achieve the ideal gray scale value. X-ray negatives also need to go through a relatively long darkroom development process before they can be evaluated under the viewing lamp.
1.2 Digital imaging employs high-resolution flat panel detectors. After a very short exposure time, the image of the inspected workpiece can be displayed in real time. According to the image status, the radiation dose can be adjusted at any time to quickly obtain the desired ideal image.
2. Radiation safety
2.1 Film imaging requires a relatively long exposure time, posing a long-term threat to the radiation safety of the surrounding area.
2.2 After quickly obtaining the ideal image, the X-ray machine can be turned off or the grating protection can be activated, causing minimal radiation damage to the surrounding environment.
3. Equipment cost:
3.1 Film imaging requires a large amount of industrial films, chemical agents, as well as supporting processing and evaluation equipment during the inspection process. After the film is completed, it still requires space and manpower for storage, and the cost of supporting operations is very high.
3.2 Digital imaging directly displays the image in the computer.
