    Description:

    The DM8116 monochromatic excitation wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence micro-sulfur analyzer, abbreviated as the DM8116 MWDXRF micro-sulfur analyzer, is the first point-to-point monochromatic excitation XRF spectrometer developed by our company based on decades of research experience in X-ray fluorescence spectrometers and the company's existing DM series X-ray fluorescence sulfur analyzers, X-ray fluorescence multi-element analyzers, and wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence multi-channel spectrometers. It adopts the following technologies and components, making the DM8116 with a 50W X-ray tube have outstanding reproducibility and stability, as well as a low detection limit, effectively elevating the detection level to a new height.

    Point-to-point focused monochromatic excitation wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (MWDXRF) analysis technology

    The limit of detection (LOD) of an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer refers to the corresponding quantity of three times the standard deviation of the instrument background signal generated by the matrix blank, that is:

    (1) In the formula, Rb represents the background (background) count intensity, N is the count intensity of the low-concentration sample with a known concentration of C, and T is the measurement time. From Equation (1), it can be seen that the detection limit is inversely proportional to the sensitivity (N - Rb) / C and directly proportional to the square root of the background Rb. Under the condition of a fixed measurement time, to reduce the detection limit, it is necessary to increase the sensitivity and/or reduce the background.

    The DM8116 adopts the point-to-point focused single-color excitation wavelength dispersion X-ray fluorescence (Monochromatic Excitation Beam Wavelength Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence) analysis technology. This means that in the excitation optical path, a point-to-point focused optical device is used to single-colorize the emission spectrum from the X-ray tube, thereby reducing the continuous scattering background of the sample fluorescence spectrum. At the same time, three-dimensional focusing is achieved to increase the intensity of the single-colored lines or narrow energy bands of the required excitation X-rays, thereby improving the sensitivity. In the detection optical path, another point-to-point focused optical device is used to disperse the fluorescence spectrum for high-resolution detection. At the same time, three-dimensional focusing is achieved to increase the intensity of the sample characteristic fluorescence lines required for collection, thereby improving the sensitivity. As a result, the detection limit is significantly reduced. Compared with traditional EDXRF, it is reduced by 1 to 2 orders of magnitude. Compared with traditional high-power (such as 4kw) WDXRF, it is much lower as well.
