1.Description
Programmable Salt Spray(Fog)Cabinets is currently a widely used method to examine the corrosion
resistance of coated metal substrates. It is suitable for rapid
analysis of discontinuities, pores and damages that occur during
application in organic and inorganic coatings. It is regarded as
the most effective method for evaluating the properties of
materials closely related to the Marine atmosphere, because it can
simulate the basic conditions of certain accelerating effects
caused by humidity or temperature, or both. Many special coatings
(anti-corrosion coatings for steel structures/Marine
coatings/automotive coatings and some coatings for heavy industry)
clearly stipulate the number of hours of salt spray resistance
tests that must be passed when formulating corresponding standards.

strictly in accordance with the national standard GB/T 1771
"Determination of Resistance to Neutral Salt Spray of Paints and
varnishes" and the international standard ISO 7253 "Paints and

*Test chamber material: The working chamber is made of imported 5mm
thick PVC polyethylene board (Taiwan Nanya), with a thickness of
5mm and a durable temperature range of 85ºC.
*The sealing cover of the studio is made of imported European
acrylic sheet with a thickness of 6mm.
*It is fabricated with a 100° Angle sealing cover at the top,
effectively preventing condensation water from dripping onto the
sample surface during the test and affecting the test results.
*In addition, the properties of this material ensure that the test
chamber can not only perform neutral salt spray tests but also
acidic salt spray (copper-accelerated acetic acid salt spray /CASS)
tests.
*Spray liquid (salt water) tank: Made of PVC, it is hidden and has a
liquid level monitoring port. It is easy to clean and not easy to
break.
*Pressure air tank (saturation tank) : The SUS304# stainless steel
high-pressure resistant tank has the best heat preservation effect.
* Sample rack: It adopts a planar dividing rack, which can be
adjusted at any Angle for four-sided fogging and receiving,
allowing for the placement of a large number of samples
*The sealing of the laboratory adopts a water sealing method to
ensure that the corrosive gas inside the box does not leak
*The control box and the test chamber are integrated, with a
left-right structure for convenient operation
*It adopts an isolation design for water and electricity components,
effectively preventing water from entering the electrical control
box and damaging the accessories
*Spray principle and route: It adopts Bernoult's principle to draw
brine and then atomize it. Air compressor → Primary oil-water
separator → Air storage tank → Pressure reducing valve → main
solenoid valve → secondary oil-water separator → saturator →
Pressure regulating valve → Spray solenoid valve → Nozzle
*Spray tower: To ensure the uniformity and volume of the spray, air
atomizing nozzles are used to finely atomize the salt water, which
then enters the conical spray tower and is evenly distributed into
the test space.
*The height of the spray tower can be adjusted to achieve the
purpose of precisely controlling the spray volume.
*The installation positions of the spray towers are evenly
distributed at the bottom of the test area.
*Manual spraying can be set or automatic spraying can be set
according to the program.
*Nozzle: Made of special glass material, it is anti-crystallization
and can control the size and Angle of the spray volume
*Collector: The spray volume collector (a conical funnel with a
diameter of 100mm and an area of 80cm ²) is installed in the
working chamber to monitor the spray volume in real time.
*A silicone hose is installed at the bottom of the funnel and
connected to the outdoor graduated cylinder, allowing for real-time
viewing of the spray volume and ensuring the accuracy of the test
samples
*Heating system: Titanium alloy armored electric heating tube
(heating at the bottom of the test chamber); SUS316# stainless
steel armored heating tube (saturation bucket) Steam heating
method, with heating capacity controlled by P.I.D; Heating tube
control mode: SSR (solid State relay) contactless periodic pulse
width modulation
*Salt spray liquid supply system: The prepared salt spray solution
is stored in the salt water tank and supplied to the salt water
supply container through the water level difference. This supply
container can automatically control the upper limit of the water
level by setting the water level control switch valve to maintain
the distance from the nozzle.
* Air saturation bucket: SUS304 stainless steel, adjustable working
temperature RT to 63ºC; The heating time is ≤60 minutes. It can
achieve automatic water replenishment and has the functions of
liquid level monitoring and liquid level limit alarm.
Temperature controller: Japanese Omron E5CC digital display,
controlling the temperature of the laboratory and the saturation
bucket (display resolution 0.1ºC)
*Spray cycle program controller: Digital display, spray time and
interval cycle can be set arbitrarily, infinite cycle; The timing
units can be switched between seconds, minutes, ten hours, hours
and ten hours. The maximum timing for each group is 999 hours and
the minimum is 1 second
Protection function: Control circuit short-circuit protection fuse;
Upper limit temperature alarm and over-temperature protection
